Competition Judging

New This Year

There will be morning and afternoon competition in these divisions which will take place in the warm-up area right after the main competition

Divisions will be formed in the Youth, All-Star, and High School Groups based on age and level

Youth/High School/All-Star Individual Competition (Tumbling & Non-Tumbling Divisions)

  • 1 ½ minute long routine with a cheer and dance portion
  • Youth-2 different jumps, HS and All-Star-3 Different Jumps
  • Tumbling - 1 of the following gymnastic skills are required: standing back-handspring, standing back tuck, ariel, round-off back-handspring/tuck/lay-out/full.
  • Non-Tumbling – No Tumbling Allowed. *Round-offs, Kart-wheels, One-handed kart-wheels & Rolls are acceptable.
  • Signs, Megaphones & Poms will be allowed.
  • Depending on the number of competitors, separate divisions will be created for age and level

Partner Stunt Competition

  • 1 ½ minute long routine
  • Maximum of 5 Members from same team
  • A minimum of 5 different stunts must be shown
  • Music must be played
  • All rules from your rulebook must be followed, illegal stunting will lead to an automatic disqualification
  • Creativity is encouraged!!

Doubles competition

  • Maximum of 2 members from the same team
  • Music must be played-can be cheer dance or just dance
  • No tumbling allowed (splits & rolls acceptable)
  • Creativity is encouraged!
  • 1 ½ minute long routine

Grammar School/Recreational/High School/Club
Both days cheer/dance routine 2.5 minute maximum

Cheer Section
Crowd Leading - 35 Points
Stunts/Pyramids, Motions, Use of Signs/Poms/Megaphones, Voice, Jumps/Tumbling, Formations/Spacing

Dance Section
Skills - 45 Points
Stunts, Pyramids/Transitions, Tumbling/Jumps, Dance/Formations/Spacing

Overall Presentation
20 Points
Sportsmanship, Synchronization, Choreography/Visual Effect, Overall Effect

All Star Teams
Both days cheer/dance routine 2.5 minutes maximum

Skills - 75 Points
Stunts, Pyramids/Transitions, Tumbling, Jumps, Dance

Overall Presentations - 25 Points
Overall Effect, Choreography/Visual Effect, Formations/Spacing, Synchronization, Sportsmanship

Non-Building Teams

Crowd Leading - 35 Points
Stunts/Pyramids, Motions, Use of Signs/Poms/Megaphones, Voice, Jumps/Tumbling, Formations/Spacing

Dance Section Skills - 30 Points
Tumbling/Jumps, Dance, Formations/Spacing

Overall Presentation - 35 Points
Sportsmanship, Synchronization, Choreography/Visual Effect, Overall Effect
